So here's my first episode...posting it here since it won't let me do it anywhere else for some reason!!!!!! Quite annoying. ANYWAY, Yes, strong language, some sexual content. Be 17+ to read this, please? It's STILL in the works so be patient with me! Tell me good ideas, ANYTHING. This is a 4 year project.

EXT. FLOWER SHOP - EVENING
We're in a flower shop; just closing down for the night. The
lights are dimmed lower than in the day, with much of the
light coming from the refrigerators with flowers in them.
WENDY HETRICK is finishing her watering of plants in the
window area, where a small green light illuminates over them.
She's in her early 40's, brown hair with a few streaks of
gray. Her face is very care-worn, with perhaps some botox.
Her hair is pulled up into a bun and she's wearing an apron
with small foliage patterns on it.
A girl comes out from the back carrying two large potted
plants that almost go over her head in height. ANNA VANCE is
17, with wavy blonde hair and a petite build.
ANNA
(Setting pots down on the table)
These are the last two from the
back, Mrs. Hetrick. Do you need
anything else brought out?
WENDY
No, hun, I think that's all I need
for tomorrow. You can go ahead and
take off. I'll lock up.
ANNA
Well I guess I'll see you tomorrow
then.
Anna grabs her coat from behind the counter and puts it on.
WENDY
Be careful out there. It's awfully
late for someone to be walking by
themselves.
ANNA
Oh it's okay. I'm meeting some
friends over a few streets. Won't
take me any more than give minutes.
EXT. WYLIE BRIDGE - NIGHT
The local hangout spot at night for teenagers in the area.
Anna is walking up a set of stairs to get to the bridge
platform.
She reaches the top, where small groups of people are talking
with each other, smoking cigarettes, etc. She looks around.
To the left; Anna spots a boy, about 17 or 18, leaning up
against the side of the wall eating a candy bar.
ANNA
There you are!
The boy drops the candy bar over the side and leans back up.
DAMIAN WYANT is 17, semi-tall with an average build. He's
wearing a brown coat and scarf. His hair is short and spiked
with a rich auburn color.
DAMIAN
You made me drop my candy bar!
ANNA
Good! You fed the river. No one
ever does!
DAMIAN
I didn't think you were going to
show up.
ANNA
Why wouldn't I? Mrs. Hetrick was
closing late. She had a wedding to
get ready for. How long has you
been here?
DAMIAN
Since 8:00. Well, before that, I
stopped and got what I thought was
my dinner and then came here. So
what is so important that I needed
to come here to meet you for?
ANNA
Well, it's kind of a long story...I
thought we could just take a walk
and talk for a little bit.
DAMIAN
(Worried) Is everything okay? I
mean, nothing bad happened, did it?
ANNA
No, no, nothing bad happened. I
guess my feelings are getting the
best of me.
DAMIAN
That's not the Anna I know...I'm
usually the one having an emotional
breakdown.
ANNA
It's a boy problem.
DAMIAN
Oh, god.
ANNA
See, this is why I was scared to
talk to you about this.
DAMIAN
I didn't even say anything!
ANNA
No but you'll make it into your
problem which is exactly what I
didn't want.
DAMIAN
Anna, you're able to like whoever
you want to. Why would you think of
me first?
ANNA
You're my best friend! I don't want
you to feel left out.
DAMIAN
Anna, if we spend every second
worrying about each other, we might
as well just get married.
Seriously, we're getting older. I
can take a hint. We're both not
going to be around forever.
ANNA
He's such a nice guy, Dame. I mean
I just met him a few weeks ago but
he's so sweet and he's caring, and
he knows how good of friends you
and I are and he thinks it's really
cool.
DAMIAN
Well I'm glad for you!
ANNA
Well I wanted you to meet him!
DAMIAN
Why didn't you just say something
earlier? You could have saved both
of us a trip out here.
ANNA
Well like I said, I wanted you to
meet him!
DAMIAN
Well, why not? Can't hurt to meet
someone new, especially someone who
is a friend of yours.
INT. WYANT HOME - NIGHT
The living room. The lights are dimmed and the drapes are
closed. The entry light is on but all others are out.
NICOLE WYANT is sitting on a lounger chair reading a book and
drinking a cup of coffee while listening to the evening news.
EVAN WYANT comes in wearing a t shirt and pajama pants.
EVAN
Whatcha doing?
NICOLE
Oh, just finishing up a book I
started a few weeks ago...waiting
Up for Damian.
EVAN
He's not sleeping?
NICOLE
No, he went out with Anna for a
little bit. I thought I'd wait up
for him so I can fix him something
to eat when he gets home.
EVAN
He's 17, Nikki. He can come home
and do it himself if he's hungry.
NICOLE
Well I think he needs to feel like
one of this parents still cares
which is why I'm waiting up for
him.
EVAN
What do you mean by that? You make
it sound like I'm a bad parent.
NICOLE
Well lately all you've been doing
is putting him down. Just because
he's his own self. I don't see you
home every night making dinner and
spending time with us.
EVAN
How else would we be able to pay
bills?
NICOLE
Oh you make it sound like I don't
have a job. I work long hours too,
Evan. Don't forget that.
EVAN
OF course you'd blame it on me.
Your son is out there flaunting
himself to go knows what, being
around go knows who.
NICOLE
What is that supposed to mean? "My
Son?" He's your son, too, Evan, and
you need to grow up and be a
parent. He's 17 years old, and he's
going on 18 and he's going to be
out in the real world real soon. If
you're worried about him know, just
think about when he goes to the
city and goes to college. How
worried would you be then?
EVAN
You know very well this isn't about
him.
NICOLE
Of course it's not. It's about you
and your habits. Bad habits if I
might add. But you know, I don't
feel like arguing.
So just go to bed because I'm sure
you have to be up early in the
morning.
EVAN
Good-night to you, too.
Evan walks up the stairs; Nicole puts her book down and rubs
her face with her robe sleeve. She looks at a picture of
herself, Evan and Damian; many years ago when Damian was
little and they were still young.
EXT. RESERVOIR OVERLOOK - NIGHT
There is a large fire with about 30 people around it. Anna
and Damian are walking up the hill to where it is laughing
and having a good time.
DAMIAN
I've never been to one of these
things.
ANNA
They're really fun! You'll have to
start coming more often.
DAMIAN
I'll put that on my to-do list!
ANNA
Oh, I see Bobby!
Anna grabs Damian by the hand and walks over to BOBBY WRIGHT
who is drinking a beer by the fire and talking to AIDAN
HETRICK and KATIE LYONS.
ANNA (CONT'D)
Bobby!
BOBBY
(In a loving way) Anna Vance,
Where've you been?
ANNA
I had to bribe Damian to come and
meet everyone.
BOBBY
What's wrong, didn't he wanna meet
us?
ANNA
He's very shy. (Turning to Damian)
Damian, this is Bobby. Bobby, this
is Damian .
BOBBY
What's up D?
DAMIAN
Nice to meet you!
BOBBY
Lemme introduce you to my pals, AJ
and Katie.
AIDAN
Damian Wyant. I recognize you from
school.
DAMIAN
Me? I'm surprised!
KATIE
We've already met! We're both on
student council.
AIDAN
Yeah, you cover all of those sport
stories for the newspaper.
DAMIAN
Well that would be me, then.
BOBBY
You cold baby?
ANNA
No, I'm fine.
KATIE
I'll be back. I have to pee. (Walks
away)
BOBBY
Feel like takin' a walk around the
water?
ANNA
Sure, that'd be great. (To Damian)
Will you be okay for a little bit?
AIDAN
Don't worry, I'll take care of him.
Anna and Bobby walk away into the dark along the water.
DAMIAN
Lovely.
AIDAN
Don't take it personally. He
usually has that effect on
everyone. No one can tell him no.
DAMIAN
Well I could. Not to put your
friend down or anything.
AIDAN
Hey it's cool. (Takes a drink) Want
a drink or anything?
DAMIAN
Sure, what is there?
AIDAN
I think some Coores, Bud, Beast...
DAMIAN
Hmm, is there any pop or water? Or
do I have to drink out of the
reservoir?
AIDAN
Ah, sense of humor. Wouldn't have
imagined it! Come on. I have a
bottle of water in my car.
DAMIAN
What about Katie?
AIDAN
Oh she'll be fine. I doubt she'll
be back for awhile. She's too
paranoid about pissing in the woods
she probably will end up going home
to use the bathroom.
Aidan and Damian begin walking away from the party down the
dirt path.
AIDAN (CONT'D)
So what brings you up here tonight?
I don't think you've ever been up
here before.
DAMIAN
Oh I've been up here before, only
it was in the day and there weren't
any drunks around. My dad used to
bring me fishing up here.
AIDAN
You fish?
DAMIAN
Are you kidding? I'd sit there and
watch him fish. I'd snag the line
ten times before it hit the water;
that's if I'd miss a rock or
something, too.
AIDAN
Hey not everyone is cut out to be
an athlete.
DAMIAN
I barely know you and it's nice to
talk to someone who listens.
AIDAN
Well I don't judge people like alot
of others do. I like to meet new
people.
DAMIAN
I don't get out much to meet new
people.
AIDAN
You should. Alot of people like
you.
DAMIAN
Are you kidding? I usually have
Diarrhea of the mouth.
AIDAN
Not so much a bad thing. You stand
up for people. It's a good thing.
The approach Aidan's car.
AIDAN (CONT'D)
You can call me AJ by the way.
Aidan unlocks his car and grabs water from the passengers
seat.
AIDAN (CONT'D)
(Hands the water to Damian) For
you.
DAMIAN
Well, thanks! It's the nicest thing
anyone has done for me today!
AIDAN
Well since we're here, wanna take
off?
DAMIAN
Get into a car with a stranger?
AIDAN
I'm not so much a stranger as you'd
like to think.
DAMIAN
I won't even get into a car with my
own dad. I appreciate the offer,
though. I live right over the hill,
it's no big deal.
AIDAN
You don't like people being nice to
you?
DAMIAN
(Smiles) Thanks for the offer. Nice
to meet you, though! If you happen
to see Anna, tell her I went home.
She'll understand.
Damian starts walking down the path to the main road. Aidan
smiles to himself and closes his car door and begins walking
back to the party.
CUT TO:
THE RESERVOIR SHORE - MOMENTS LATER
Anna and bobby are holding hands, walking along the shore of
the reservoir. The city lights are in the background.
BOBBY
You know, I can't tell you how
happy it made me that you came
tonight. It took me a month to try
and get you to come here.
ANNA
It's just not my scene. I'm more of
the city girl who likes to go to
cafe's and see movies.
BOBBY
You never told me any of that
before.
ANNA
I didn't want to disappoint you!
BOBBY
Could I interest you in a date next
weekend? There's a party up at the
moon tower. I'd like to spend some
alone time with you.
ANNA
Alone time? We have alone time.
BOBBY
I mean, one on one. Just you and
me. We can sit by the lake or
something. Meet some new people.
ANNA
(Laughs) I think I know everyone
there is to know.
They reach the party again. Aidan comes up to them with Katie
tagging along behind.
ANNA (CONT'D)
Where's Damian?
AIDAN
Uh, he said he was taking off. He
said not to worry; stay and have
fun.
KATIE
He doesn't like us, does he?
ANNA
No, I don't think that's the case.
He probably felt left out.
BOBBY
Why don't you go catch up with him?
ANNA
I think he'll be fine. He's a tough
cookie.
BOBBY
Did you say something to upset him,
AJ?
AIDAN
Not at all! HE wanted to go home,
can't blame him. Think I'll heading
home, too.
BOBBY
It's early!
ANNA
Oh, Hun, don't chase after him.
He'll get grumpy, which I'm sure he
already is.
AIDAN
Just thought I'd make sure he's
okay. He seemed a little edgy.
ANNA
You don't mind checking up on him?
AIDAN
No, not a problem. You guys have
fun.
EXT. ROAD - 10 MINUTES LATER - NIGHT
Damian is walking along the road, nearing the city when a car
pulls up beside him beeping.
DAMIAN
(Not aware) I'm not on the road
asshole!
Damian turns around to see Aidan poking his head out of the
window.
AIDAN
Thought you could use a lift,
unless you think I'm an asshole?
INT. A BEDROOM - NIGHT
A guys bedroom. There are posters on the walls and dirty
clothes on the floor, and clothes that haven't been put away
sit on the dresser. JAMES REDDING is sitting at his computer,
obviously chatting with people by the rate of his typing. His
phone rings.
JAMES
Andrew? (Pause) I've been trying to
get ahold of you all night! Where
are you? (Pause) Well come over.
(Pause) Because I'm bored and need
someone to talk to. (Pause) Please?
I'll just keep sending you messages
unless you stop by. (Pause) Because
I don't have any transportation to
go anywhere! Just get over here!
INT. SONIC RESTAURANT - NIGHT
Aidan and Damian are sitting in the car with burgers, fries,
and drinks.
DAMIAN
You really didn't have to do this.
I was pretty close to my house.
AIDAN
I live a block away from you. You
were a good 45 minutes away while
walking.
DAMIAN
Exercise is good.
AIDAN
I'm doing something nice for you. I
take it not many people do.
DAMIAN
Well, not usually, except my mom or
something but that's different.
AIDAN
Anna doesn't do anything nice for
you?
DAMIAN
Lately, no. She's been too caught
up in her social life to know I'm
there anymore.
AIDAN
I don't think that's completely
true. From what I've heard, she
feels deeply for you and she'd be
hurt if you weren't in her life.
Things definitely aren't what they
used to be, huh?
DAMIAN
You can say that again. I agree
with you 100%. Nothing has been the
same since Freshman year.
AIDAN
Don't sweat it. You're almost done
with school. Just another year to
go and you're home free.
DAMIAN
What about you? Are you excited?
AIDAN
Me? Sort of. I'm still staying
close to home just because I feel
more comfortable. I can stay close
to home and come back whenever I
want to.
DAMIAN
Good way of putting it. Well, I'm
stuffed. I'll just save the rest
for later if I get hungry.
AIDAN
Do you feel like taking a ride or
something? It's not too late yet.
DAMIAN
Sure, why not? I think I'm warming
up to you okay after all.
INT. JAMES'S BEDROOM - NIGHT'
James and ANDREW LOAR are sitting on the bed relaxing and
listening to music. James is rubbing Andrews leg slowly.
JAMES
Even your legs are tense. What's
your deal?
ANDREW
These late night calls? You really
think it's that easy to just stroll
on over to please you?
JAMES
You've never complained before!
ANDREW
It's not right anymore! You're
practically seeing a guy...
JAMES
WAS...seeing a guy. He never shows
up when he says he will. But you
do.
ANDREW
So I'm the stand in for the man
from Uniontown?
JAMES
Come on, Andy. You know we have a
lot in common.
ANDREW
I just don't it's right anymore.
JAMES
So when you ask me to show you my
pecker online you don't care? You
just do it for a laugh?
James unties his shorts and slides them down. Andrew closes
his eyes while James pulls him down.
EXT. PARK - NIGHT
Picnic table. Aidan and Damian are sitting at a picnic table
at the park looking at the reflections on the lake.
AIDAN
So what were you supposed to be
doing tonight?
DAMIAN
It was first planned that me, Anna
and our friend Andrew were going to
go and see a band tonight, but
Andrew said he couldn't and then
Anna decided that we were going to
the reservoir.
Even Andrew has been acting weird,
ditching us and everything.
AIDAN
You've never ditched a friend
before?
DAMIAN
Actually, no I haven't. I treat
others the way I want to be
treated. I'm not usually out and
about with people. I like to do my
own thing a lot of the time.
AIDAN
Hey, nothing wrong with that. I
like to lift on my own.
DAMIAN
That's understandable. It's a
personal thing. But you still do it
in front of people.
AIDAN
Yeah, but I get over it. IT's easy
to overcome things.
DAMIAN
It's easier said than done.
AIDAN
It's getting late. I'd better get
you home.
DAMIAN
You're right.
Damian gets off of the picnic table and starts walking
towards the car. Aidan sits there for a moment looking at the
lake and the reflections.
EXT. ANNA'S HOUSE - NIGHT
Bobby and Anna reach the front door. Most of the lights are
out in the house except for the front porch light and the
entry light.
BOBBY
I hope you're not too upset.
ANNA
No, I'm fine, really! I had a good
time, thanks.
BOBBY
But it ends here, right?
ANNA
Unfortunately. (Smiles and gives
him a kiss on the cheek) I'll call
you tomorrow, promise!
BOBBY
(Smiles) I'll remember. You'd
better.
Bobby starts down the sidewalk to his car. Anna turns around
and unlocks the door.
CUT TO:
INSIDE THE HOUSE
Anna sets her keys on the side table and throws her coat on
the stair railing. She slips her shoes off into the closet
and walks into the darkened kitchen. She turns on the light
and screams.
ANNA
Dad, what are you doing up? You
just about took 10 years away from
my life!
CRAIG
Sorry, baby. I didn't mean to scare
you. Just thought I'd wait up for
you.
ANNA
I'm 18 years old, dad. I know how
to let myself in.
CRAIG
I know, but I like to at least know
you got in okay.
ANNA
I'm fine! My friends always make
sure I get in safe.
CRAIG
Even random guys?
ANNA
You were spying on me again,
weren't you?
And he's not a random guy. We go to
school together and he's a nice
guy.
CRAIG
You're momma called today. She
wants you to come visit her
sometime.
ANNA
Oh? Does she know I have school?
CRAIG
She doesn't seem to be herself
still.
ANNA
Well I can imagine she wouldn't be,
daddy. She's really hurt. I'll see
you in the morning.
Anna turns to go out of the kitchen and heads for the stairs.
We turn to look in front of Craig, there are power of
Attorney papers in front of him.
INT. JAMES'S BEDROOM - NIGHT
Andrew is putting on his shoes and James is changing his
shirt.
JAMES
You wanna hang out tomorrow?
ANDREW
I have plans.
JAMES
We could make plans, too.
ANDREW
I have plans with other friends.
Things that we do together.
JAMES
You never invite me.
ANDREW
Because you have a big mouth.
(Finishes putting his shoes on) I'm
off.
JAMES
Why are you hiding me from your
friends?
ANDREW
Because they're my friends, not
yours. I've been ditching them for
weeks now to come over here to
please you. Someone should put you
on suicide watch.
JAMES
I don't need to be put on suicide
watch! I just want to be part of
the action!
ANDREW
Maybe when you can handle your
hormones a little better.
JAMES
Can I have a small kiss?
ANDREW
James, come on.
JAMES
(Gets up on his knees and kisses
Andrew.) Now go, go do your thing.
I'll be okay.
They both of them stare each other in the eyes; a cross
between happiness and anger, and a little bit of sadness.
EXT. DAMIAN'S HOUSE - NIGHT
Aidan pulls into the driveway and parks the car.
DAMIAN
I appreciate this, thanks.
AIDAN
Hey, no problem. I enjoyed the
company tonight. We should do it
again sometime.
DAMIAN
Really? You want to?
AIDAN
Sure, next time we can have it
better planned though. So I guess I
should ask if you'd like to go on a
date with me sometime?
Damian blushes and doesn't know what to say.
AIDAN (CONT'D)
I mean, if you don't want to we
don't have to.
DAMIAN
You just caught me off guard is
all! I didn't really think you
were...you know...like that.
AIDAN
I bat for both teams. I'm surprised
you didn't believe that.
DAMIAN
I thought Katie was your
girlfriend. I actually had always
thought that.
AIDAN
Just by best friend. You don't have
to answer, though. I just thought,
we could get to know each other a
little better, if that would be
cool?
DAMIAN
Yeah, that sounds cool. I think I'd
like that. This is just, wow. I've
never been on a date.
AIDAN
Think of tonight as one.
Damian unbuckles his seat belt and is getting ready to get
out.
AIDAN (CONT'D)
Wait!
Aidan leans over and kisses Damian on the cheek.
AIDAN (CONT'D)
I figured that's all the further
I'd go for now, so I don't
jeopardize things.
DAMIAN
And you can use big words, too!
AIDAN
Hey, not all athletes are brain
dead.
DAMIAN
Good night, AJ.
AIDAN
'Night, Damian.
Damian gets out and shuts the door and waves. He walks in
through the garage entry and closes the door behind him.
Aidan puts his car into reverse and pulls out of the
driveway. He drives down the road.
END MUSIC
We slowly pan out of the neighborhood with the streetlights
and houses of families that are settling down for the night.
FADE TO BLACK.
